If you—or your child—are feeling unsure or even a little nervous about psychology tests, you're not alone. That’s completely normal. Whether you're an adult seeking answers for yourself or a parent looking for clarity about your child’s behaviour, emotions, or learning needs, reaching out for support is a brave and meaningful step. Psychological concerns are part of the human experience, and the goal of testing is to help you or your child better understand how the mind works—so that informed, supportive choices can be made.
Whether you're an adult, teen, or child, having a psychological condition doesn’t define who you are—and it doesn’t mean you’re broken or weak. In fact, pursuing an assessment shows strength and courage. It’s an opportunity to gain insight, build self-awareness, and grow in ways that matter. As a psychologist my role is to offer a judgment-free space where individuals of all ages feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the process.
The psychology test and assessment process is tailored to the age and needs of each person. For children and teens, this often involves a mix of interactive tasks, questionnaires, and input from parents or caregivers. For adults, it may focus more on in-depth discussion, self-report tools, and structured evaluations. No matter the age, I’ll explain everything clearly and take time to understand what matters most to you and your family. If a diagnosis is part of the results, I’ll break it down in everyday language and help you use that information as a tool—not a label—for positive change.
Whether you're an adult client or a parent of a child in testing, your privacy matters. Everything shared is confidential and protected by law. Information is never shared without informed consent. You can trust that this is a safe, private space to explore concerns, ask questions, and seek answers.
